Our weekly groups will open again to new volunteers this September. To sign up, visit one of our Volunteer Registration Fair on Mon Sep 8, 5:30-7pm or Wed Sep 10, 5:30-7pm.

Food Bank+Outdoors program: Welcome Inn Community CentreSupport food bank tasks and support outdoors program. Food bank tasks will include packing, lifting, interacting with the community. The work is fast-paced, and while a language barrier is not a concern, volunteers should be able to lift at least 20 pounds. Outdoors tasks will not require any machinery or special skill. It will include simple tasks to help the neighborhood like pulling weeds, cleaning up trash, shoveling snow, distributing flyers door to door, helping carry out boxes to peoples cars etc. Thurs 10:00am - 2:20pm2

LAF (Learning and Fun): Welcome Inn Community CentreMentor underserved kids in small groups and one-on-one using creative and fun tools to assist with financial literacy activities, homework completion, and social skills. Literacy & Math Program: Centre for Diverse Learners Volunteers provide gentle encouragement, help create a calm and inclusive space, and support the educator by offering 1:1 help or stepping in when a student needs a body break or redirection Support neurodiverse Grades 2–8 students in the Leaps in Literacy program build confidence in reading and writing.
